I think I'm starting to get used to this whole military lifestyle for the following reasons:
1) It was no big deal that I dropped C off this morning for his flight since he will only be gone for four weeks. Four weeks is no longer a big deal in my book and I consider that a successful attitude adjustment.
2) Has been deleted since I reflected on what I had written and decided that it wasn't nice to mock how other women show their affection through facebook updates, slutty clothes, and tongue swapping at the drop off site.
3) I learned how to work the medical system to get a flu shot for Baby P early. It took some finagling and multiple phone calls to different clinics in the naval hospital, but success at last! He has the seasonal flu shot just in time for our big trip to Georgia next week and I didn't have to wait around for the Flu Clinic on base to open.
4) It's easier to decline an alcoholic beverage if I mention that I'm taking Prozac than bringing up the fact that I'm Mormon. It's taken me a few months to fess up to the Prozac popping, but now that I use that as my reason for not drinking at division functions, C isn't getting teased about being a Jesus lover and I'm not getting pressured into taking drinks. Yay for Prozac!
5) I am now okay with celebrating my birthday on C's birthday since the two dates are only weeks apart and he never seems to be here for mine. Better we celebrate it some time than not at all. I'll take what I can get and be happy with it. Here are the boys blowing out birthday candles.
Not having a great day? Here, watch this.

Good for you!! It definitely takes some adjustment time, thats for sure!! I love the pic!
It took me awhile to understand #2, then I realized that you wrote something and then deleted it. I'm proud of the positive step! However, I'd love to read it. I need a good laugh. I think I'll click back over to that post about a baby thermometer. :)
Four weeks is a drop in the bucket! Good attitude. Can't wait for the visit!
Huzzah scorpios!
Happy Birthday - late or early!!!!
You are always so busy, I don't know how you do it. You keep up with so many things. You should be proud of yourself.
